St. Paul’s Weekday Nursery School, located in Bedford, Massachusetts serves children 2.9 years to 6 years old and is a secular Preschool where children learn through play and exploration, which is the child’s work. Our philosophy of early education is rooted in the benefits and lessons that a play-based curriculum offers to young children. We believe that learning through both facilitated and organic play during early childhood is essential preparation both for school and for life.
The curriculum is designed to foster a child’s natural curiosity and imagination. In a warm and caring environment, we encourage children to question, to articulate feelings, to experiment with various methods of problem solving, to empathize with others, and to develop self-help skills. Pre-reading and pre-math skills are developed through facilitated activities.
